SpotChat Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SpotChat application and services (the "Service") provided by SpotChat ("SpotChat", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information up to date.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or other users.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, abuse, exploit, impersonate, or otherwise harm others.
  • Send spam, scams, malware, fraudulent, or misleading content.
  • Use the Service for illegal activities.
  • Upload, post, send, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Use the Service to exploit minors or share child sexual abuse material or other content involving the sexual exploitation of children.
  • Upload or share content you do not own or do not have permission to use.
  • Attempt to access accounts or data you do not own or have permission to access.
  • Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service.

4. User content

  • You retain rights to content you send or upload (including messages, room posts, profile text, photos, audio, video, and files).
  • You grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, process, and display your content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service (for example, delivering messages and media).
  • You are responsible for your content and the consequences of sharing it.
  • We may remove, restrict, or decline content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the safety of the Service.

5. Safety, reporting, blocking, and moderation

  • SpotChat provides in-app tools to block users and report abuse, objectionable content, or other safety issues.
  • We may review reports, investigate accounts or content, and take action such as removing content, limiting features, rejecting room or invitation actions, or suspending or terminating accounts.
  • We have no tolerance for abusive, exploitative, or unlawful behavior on the Service.
  • If you believe there is illegal content, exploitation, or an urgent safety risk, contact the appropriate authorities and you may also contact us at support@spotchat.ai.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy at /privacy.

7. AI assistant (Ask SpotChat)

  • The AI assistant provides general information and guidance only.
  • AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete; you should verify important information.
  • Do not rely on the AI for medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions.

8. Third-party services

The Service may display information from third-party sources (for example weather, holidays, places, or notable events). We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

9. Termination and account deletion

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • You may request account deletion from within the app settings or by contacting support@spotchat.ai.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for safety/legal reasons.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpotChat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above.
